If you're not taking Omega 3's, then you need to read this!

Essentially… You need this!

Omega 3’s are an essential nutrient that unfortunately your body just does not make on its own. They are often referred to as the marine Omega 3’s as they are mainly found in fish such as wild caught salmon, white fish, sardines and anchovies. The endless benefits are plentiful for both healthy people as well as those with heart conditions and other illnesses. Before we get into the benefits of this wonder supplement, let’s talk about just what they are made of.

Omega-3 fatty acids are an essential nutrient, containing both docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), as well as Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA). Simply put, they are fat in the blood. And more specifically are the end product of digesting and breaking down fats in our foods. These fatty acids provide the body with energy, with extras being stored in the body and used at a later point. When you need that energy, your body knows to tap into the unused storage, ideally using up extra calories and burning fat.

Since the body needs the essential fats in Omega 3’s but does not make it naturally. We need to either eat enough Omegas or take a supplement. Even if we do eat enough, certain farming practices may still leave us not receiving enough Omegas from our food. That’s where American Made Nutrition’s Omegas 3’s come into play.

Most people associate Omegas with preventing and managing heart disease and lowering blood pressure. They do this by reducing triglyceride levels, or the good and bad cholesterol in our bodies. This will in turn reduce the risk of heart attack, hardening of the arteries and other heart related conditions.

Another major benefit of Omegas, especially for athletes is the anti-oxidant and acute, exercise related anti-inflammatory nature of EPA and DHA. Where weight training and high intensity exercise can increase both oxidation and inflammation, Omegas will help to reduce such inflammation along with causing quicker muscle recovery.

Along these same lines, athletes will also be interested to learn of the impact Omegas can have on health and weight loss by giving the metabolism a boost and decreasing hunger. Omegas are linked to the reduction of excess body fat, especially in the abdominal section. They do this by providing the correct amounts of essential fatty acids that complement the nutrients from the food we eat. For those looking to build muscle or are going through a gaining phase, Omegas are just as important. EPA and DHA supplementation is suggested to support muscle protein synthesis and limit muscle protein degradation. This can mean less muscle breakdown and significantly more muscular development.

We could talk benefits of this wonder supplement all day, including the link to positive mental health, brain function and a boost in overall mood, but I think it’s time for you to try it yourself. As with all supplements, American Made Nutrition Omega 3 works best when combined with a healthy nutrition plan and regular exercise. Let’s get essential!!
